PCV Valve
If someone would be so kind, could you pull oput your PCV Valve and snap a pic? I was checking mine out, and I didn't find the O Ring on it that I remember using when I replaced the original on my own.
The current one was installed by the dealership that replaced my upper intake, and I have a gut feeling they got in a hurry and did it wrong.
So, if someone could pop thiers out of a Series II, snap a quick pic of it, and either post it or send it by e-mail, I would be highly appreciative. All I have are the exploded views from my FSM'*...

I can't get you at picture at the moment, but I can tell you that the dealership probably forgot the part. I had my PCV reassembled without a spring when I had a mechanic replace my UIM. I think it'* easy for people to gloss over things like that when it'* not their own car. Just my two cents.

Thanks Bill!! That'* good and bad news for me. Good, because it doesn't look like I need a new PCV Valve (although a Icoulda swore there was an O ring involved)
Bad, because it means I probably really need a new MAP Sensor and/or EGR Valve. I was hoping that if the PCV Valve were installed wrong, it was what was causing the MAP Sendor to throw a code, thereby causing the EGR to throw a code, as they are all inter-related....
damn cars......

Thanks, Don. I didn't know if it was supposed to have a lower o-ring or not. Good to know. And a PCV O-ring won't be the only thing missing on this car. It'* gonna take a lot of patience to make this one right.

Well, I don't know. Mine was obviously missing that lower o-ring and it ran swell, set no codes, no apparent problems.......until yesterday, when the rear crank seal developed a leak and started pukin' oil out onto the flex plate. :( And to think, I just had the trans out and could have changed that rear seal for a few bucks and an hour of labor. Don't it just figure?
