Default Switch for dome light when you open the door? Is it built in the latch??

I have a question that im sure a lot of you will know....

I have a 93 and i just bought a 92 parts car for several parts for my 93, I am wondering what part handles the dome light control when you open the door. I was having problems when I open the door the dome lights would come on, and when you shut the door they would stay on. I looked around for a switch, btu i didnt see one, like a plunger in the door jamb....but then someone said it may be built in the handle or the latch on the door itself, where it latches on the pin.

I am just wondering what part i need to grab off of it that would maybe fix my problem. thanks in advance for any info...
