Those 2 statements have me confused. Which fan are we talking about.

For the starting problem please disconnect the battery cables and check for corrosion. Report back with your findings.

Better yet, disconnect and clean all ends of all battery cables. This is our #1 piece of advice lately. Your starting issue sounds like it'* either a bad connection or a battery that isn't fully charged.

On the fan issue. It is winter and you mention 200F degrees. The low speed fan comes on at around 215F and the high speeds at 226F.

Your fans shouldn't come on at 200. And I don't understand what you're trying to say about them, either. You don't make any sense.

Turn your AC on Auto. Do both fans come on?

Follow the advice already listed above.

Pull the boots off your battery cables and clean the corrosion.
Do your fans come on when you put your ECC on Auto?

Then come back.

We're not going to have you split your replies into two different topics about the same starting issue. Our gearheads are busy enough that they don't need to hunt back and forth.

We have dozens per month. Did you REMOVE THE RUBBER BOOTS? You HAVE to do that. We get 12 cars a month with this same problem.

You need to remove the boots and clean the corrosion that you can't see by simply disconnecting your cables and pulling the boots. You need to remove and disassemble each end of EVERY black and red battery cable. At the alternator, starter, and battery, and each and every ground location.

Do your fans come on when your ECC is in AUTO?
