It'* not the strut mounts they were checked before replacing the struts. It was the first thing the guy checked he said it would be useless to replace the springs if the mounts were bad. When I took the car back to have him look due to the noise he couldn't figure it out, he thought it might be the boots though. BTW it doesn't always do it with a lot of strut travel it seems, very quick but harsh bumps will do it too.

I checked and the battery hold down is tight. I yank tugged and pushed on it and it seems perfectly fine. Any other ideas out there...the problem to be less frequent now. Maybe it is just the strut boot and it is starting to settle in...I don't know.
