99 Pontiac Bonneville Motor Replacement
So the drummer started playing in the motor Saturday night. I bought the new motor and Im trying to get the old one out.
The problem is I can't reach the bottom bell housing bolt, bolting the engine to the trans. any suggestions?
I have the long extensions and Im going in from the passenger side wheel well, but I can't get it lined up. Anybody with experience in this field?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure, but don't you have to drop the trans/engine as an assembly, and then take it apart? Danthurs will know. Send him a PM.

When you look in through the passenger side, you have already unbolted the power steering pump and the metal bracket from trans to engine? If so..look down with a light and you should be able to see the bolt. It is 18mm, if your extensions are bending too much this might be tough, but it'* been done.
You'll get it.
(If the metal bracket is in the way, it'll stop the engine from coming out as it holds the engine to trans.)

Thanks, I got it!! I thought I was able to get it without removing that bracket. But one the bracket came off, it was like heavens gates opened, lol. I got it off and Im about to yank it. Thanks again!
