air ride suspension in '89
So I really want adjustable ride height with the ride of a bonneville. I would like to keep the stock suspention and add onto it so I can have the adjustable ride height, without the cost of an entire system. I am unsure of whether my sse has air ride in the front as the rear, but I know it has it somewhere. Is it possible to control the height, and make it faster, so I don't have to wait 10 minutes for it to go from ground to ride height? If not possible with stock components, which company would you recommend that could have an moderate kit, low price, and the features i would like.

Your 89 will have a self leveling rear suspension. It is only made to maintain a level ride height on your car. What you are talking about it going with an air bag suspension.
The minimum you will be looking at spending for an air ride suspension ( bagged) is about 2,000$. I know I am looking at the possibilites with a 69 pickup I have and it is simple to do that one cause of how the suspension was made back then. ON the newer cars it may ( probably will ) cost more.
Hope that helps some.
this may help you out also.

Yeah, i already checked out Air Ride Technology. And its about 1,100$ for the "other stuff" and a little under 1000$ for the bags. I was hoping there would be a company for Pontiacs or Bonneville'* that made a specific kit, that would help out the install ease, and was hoping cost. And yes there is a lot of "Stuff" on '85+ cars because of the advancements in the technology. And we all know its been done, somewhere.

No, we are unfortunatly talking about an '89.
I got my air ride tech. catalog today, and it has three kits that look like they might require the least modification[*] And my questionis which one could take the least modification/require the least amount of tools [a limited resource for me]
1.) CoolRide 65-70 Pontiac Full size (Catalina - isn't that a caddy?, Bonneville] front part number is ARF12000, and the rear part number is ARR22000
2.) 78-88 GM "G" body (Monte Carlo, Regal, Cutlass, El Camino) front part number is ARF11000, rear part number is ARR21100
3.) 91-96 GM "B" body (Impala, Caprice, Roadmaster) front part number ARF11400, rear part number is ARR21400

How much does that impact the suspention? If there are a lot of modifications, then which car might you suggest to base it on? they have airstruts for grand ams and prixs but unfortunatly they are twice as much. Maybe i could make some money on the suspention parts so I could afford these parts. maybe enough to get the big red tank and compressor unit (-:
