Was a great car though. I'm not letting my 91 go- love it. BUt the next car will be a 2003 or 2005 gen- Midnight Blue....
but only once there is proper storage for the 91

This one has not been all that reliable. Although it is a comfortable car, it has had its issues since we got it in 2000 with 104k miles. First was the crank sensor, then ignition module. Then the controls-in-wheel stereo. Then the ABS master went out 2-1/2 years ago ($800 new from dealer, $1100 rebuilt from Checker Auto, $300 from the parts recylcler). A year ago with 190k miles, the transmission quit suddenly 500 miles from home (the guy we got it from said he just had the tranny gone through a couple of months before). Then last summer the oil pressure dropped until the cam broke. The L27 has not been the best (left out open in the rain, I suspect), athough it is running better with time. The 9-way adjustable seats won't hold the adjustment on the driver'* side, can't move the seat back on the driver'* side anymore.
This week the brake master went out again while my wife was 20 miles from home (while I was out of town on a business trip, of course). Current mileage is a little over 202k.
This car may be on its last straw.
