Where is my thermostat located?
I have an 88 Bonneville (185K miles and counting) and the thermostat just crapped the bed. Where the hell is my thermostat though? My friends have told me to check near the oil filter or the firewall. I really don't think it is near these places on my car.
I read one of the backposts that mentioned it being near the throttle body on a 91. Is is the same location on my 88? There is a large hose running from the top of the radiator to the engine with a hose clamp attaching it to the engine right in front of and below the throttle body. Is this my elusive thermostat?
thanks for any help you guys can offer.

If you have the VIN "C" engine, it is right at the beginning of the large hose that goes from the engine to the radiator. Should be a bolt-on elbow there. It'* underneath that.
