With that much extra weight, on a car that was already heavy. I suggest you start looking at your transmission. It'* already not happy with you.

A couple suggestions I will throw out is that you are most likely going to want to tighten the screws and hot glue everything on the door pad that moves. All switch boxes, removable pieces, handles, etc. Otherwise it will rattle and really kill the sound.

Be careful if you when your screwing in those aftermarket speakers so that you don't send a screw through the other side of the door if your attaching them like the factory speakers. (especially the back doors)

No sub box should ever be just blaring into the trunk, having it sealed off and firing forwards eliminates trunk rattle and improves the sound.

I learned a lot while doing this install and made a few mistakes. So if anyone wants to learn from my mistakes feel free to ask questions.

I'm not doing the install, a pro is. Thanks for the tips though.

I'm also not installing a sub unless the speakers I put in don't have enough bass for my liking.

Yea.. I would like to get it taken care of, but that is going to be a big project from what I have seen from your tear down.

I'm thinking I'll get my headers on, play around with the pulley size a bit more, and get my tuning done. After that the transmission will be the priority.

Fixed that up for ya Tom. I think Gunner was scared with how I was willing to "use" my transmission when we were cruising around and parts running.

Something I found very helpful was I thought about modding differently than most.
Suspension, brakes and maintenance first
Lightly modded engine
Transmission
Serious engine mods

I only wish I had added sound system in there up front. The way I figured it was if you can't stop or turn, moving does you no good, if you can't move then power does you no good.

I did all maintenance, then brakes, then exhaust. After that I got in to more heavy engine mods and then transmission. After that it'* hard core engine work. Sound systems really don't do it for me. The radio is off most of the time.

Thanks for the correction Bill : P. GXP brakes are in the near future. I'm going to be open to suspension suggestions as well since my back end is holding the brunt of the 300 pounds. I need to be able to get that fat rear end back up in the air for the track.

I'm sure Trent and I will both attend Dan'* class on tearing down a trans whenever he is willing to offer it.
