Washed My Bonne Today.

I washed my Bonneville today. I used the Mr. Clean autodry, which makes it easy. It was a nice day, and sunny, so i decided she looked dirty, and got to work. i even waxed my chrome cover hubcaps lol. well, i will get some pics tomorrow since it is dark. I'm glad to be in the south, so i dont have to worry about water freezing on the car while i wash it lol.

I love that Mr. Clean Auto Dry. It makes washing so easy.

I got one of them AutoDry thingies, too. Just too lazy to get refills for it....

And it's like 5 below right now. Think it would prevent ice?

If you live in one of the northern states (I live in Michigan), washing your car is propably wasted effort. The roads are covered with snow and salt. It just takes 15 minutes on the road to make your Bonnie look like you went off-roading!

So to all the people that live in MidWest, I'd just wait for spring! :) :)

You have no choice. It just snows and snows and snows and more snow.! :(

umm.. no. I purely wash my car to get the salt off!! Definitely NOT a wasted effort :) I go atleast every 3 days .. haha. paranoia?

Ireli 12-24-2004 08:47 PM

I was actually talking about washing your car to make it look good.

Now if you're washing it to get rid of the salt, that's another story. But it is a god habit. Since I am too busy, I'm waiting for the rain next week. :? :?

Not even all the wax in the world can protect you from a Northern Indiana Winter...
Definately wash it to get the salt off, not to get it clean...
Make sure you get inside the wheel wells...its rusts breeding ground

Yea.. but it snowed enough last night just to filthy up my freshly washed car. A dusting of snow the salt trucks come out and its a $7.00 Holiday car wash out the window. :(

Just put on some boots. You can still wash it.

Just make sure the water from your hose doesn't freeze before it reaches the car!

Princess Jeanie 12-30-2004 11:25 AM

Yep, Michigan weather doesn't allow for clean cars this time of year...but I still wash the GA to start getting layers of salt off.

Ireli, where in Michy?

95SLE 12-30-2004 10:12 PM

It got up to 50 degrees today so I washed the family van and the Bonneville. I will put a coat of Z2 on the Bonneville tomorrow morning. My garage has a space heater so it wont be too cold.
