Default zzzzzeke'* flowmaster muffler

Last night I put on a little custom exhaust. thanks to jegs.com
flowmaster muffler for a camaro (2.5" single in and dual 2.5" outs) - 73.99
2 edelbrock tips - 59.98
random bends and clamps from local exhaust shop - $20
total = approximately $170 after tax

slightly noticable performance, it pulls pretty good for the ol' bonnie with 154000 miles on it.

i am very impressed with the sound. deep, yet mellow performancy! In no way is it annoying inside or out. i left the stock 2.25 tubing before the muffler because I don't have enough mods to back up the loss in back pressure.
seems to be just right
only thing not perfect about it is the placement. muffler sits a little too far to the right. not a problem though, really can't see it.

o ya, new K&N cone filter replaced the old nasty looking one. i forgot they are supposed to be red! another purchase from jegs.com - $31.99

zzzzeke, I must have either missed it or forgot, but I love the SSE tailights on your SE. They really look good!! I'm trying to convince my friend to get them for his 94 SE. Except from a dealer they're friggin' out of this world expensive!! Where'd you get 'em?

Oh yeah, and I like your new exhaust!! Very nice! Do you have the stock CAT and resonator??

Hows the 80 series sound compared to the 40 series? Curious.

alien -
389-42583 1982-85 Camaro Z28/Firebird Trans Am: 80 Series, 2.5''In/2.5'' Dual Out - 80 Series
Camaro/Firebird Replacements
Add 30hp, 40ft. lbs.!
Single inlet with dual outlets for a stock dual exhaust appearance and fits in the stock crossflow position.

$72.99

Allmachtige -
The most aggressive-sounding street and strip muffler in the Flowmaster product line. The 40 Series generates a powerful, aggressive sound outside the vehicle. If you are looking for the traditional ''Flowmaster sound,'' the 40 Series offers more of it than any other muffler. The 40 Series generates interior resonance within the vehicle as well, so if you want to really hear your exhaust system inside the vehicle as well as outside it, the 40 Series is for you.

Specially designed for applications where the muffler must be mounted transversely behind the rear axle, either to match an OE system or for increased ground clearance, the 80 Series is a true crossflow with single or dual inlet/dual outlet configurations. The 80 Series produces an aggressive muscle car sound.

i bought the stock ssei tails and woodgrain dash for $100 from an aquaintence who totalled their car. i also have a set of ssei tinted tails.
also - stock cat and resonator are on at the moment. possibly looking into high flow cat just for the performance aspect

BTW alien - it'* not copying....well me at least. i know that nytro has a flowmaster, along with others possibly??!!

i also found a borla that'* supposed to be a direct replacement for the camaro. that could be something worth looking into. but you can't complain with the price of the flowmaster.
