If you ever wanna upgrade your lights, I recommend getting some Pilots.

I went for a little drive tonight. What a difference those make! I can see everything. My headlights are useless now.

J Wikoff 08-14-2005 11:46 PM

I agree. My Pilot fog lights are better than my headlights, close up anyways.

I don't know, whatever bulb that came with the set. They are 55 watts.

willwren 08-15-2005 01:24 PM

Are those the Pilot Cyberwhites? If so, it's an H3 55w bulb. Great lamp and reflector design.

Try them with the 100W H3's.
That's what I run in the Zilla.

Sol 08-15-2005 02:00 PM

Yup, they are the Cyberwhites.

I can only imagine what the 100W ones would do.

SSE14U24ME 08-15-2005 02:00 PM

how much did they set you back?

Only 40 bucks. Got em from Pep Boys on sale. I looked around and they had the best deal.

Great Job Sol.... Those are worth every penny... ;)

Autozone sells them for 30 under the Pilot name, and WalMart sells them for similar under the Navigator name.

Great lights, and even with the 100W H3's, I don't get brights flashed at me by oncoming cars. They aim the light where it SHOULD be. I love mine, and have them on both cars now.

aviator327 08-18-2005 04:00 PM

I reckon it's time for an upgrade.

willwren 08-18-2005 04:01 PM

Aviator, your mounting will be identical to my 95. I can shoot pics from underneath to show you if you like.

Thank you sir. I would appreciate that.

willwren 08-18-2005 04:04 PM

I'll shoot pics of both to show the differences.

L27Buick 08-18-2005 05:20 PM

how much modification has to be made to use these?

Sol 08-18-2005 05:28 PM

I used stock wiring. I did a lot of research before hand, and the stock wiring should be sufficient enough. So bascially it was just the matter of modifying the bracket to fit these fogs, because they are a universal set made for any application.

L27Buick 08-18-2005 06:23 PM

ok cool

Bill, Just checked the Pepboys website and I see there are a number of Pilot Cyberwhites. Do you remember the Part# for the ones on yours? Thanks.

willwren 08-18-2005 08:36 PM

The round blue ones that are slightly smaller in diameter than the OEM's.

willwren 08-18-2005 09:06 PM

Easy to spot in the store. I don't have any of my original boxes......I'll look (btw, still intend to post mounting options for both the locations on the SE/SSEi later today).....

Pilot: http://www.pilotautomotive.com/pilot2ef.htm

Google Cyberwhite navigator for that version, unless Pilot bought them out.

http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...=425715#425715 page 2. I won't steal Sol's topic.

alec_b 08-20-2005 12:33 AM

I just bought a set of pilots today, 20 bucks though they're smaller ones. See my new post for pics. I love them too, VERY bright. Of course i had to wire mine myself but that wasn't a big deal. Totally worth it!

rjolly87 08-20-2005 02:22 AM

do you happen to have any shots from before you got the lights sol? for a before/after?

Chad V 08-20-2005 10:01 AM

Im pretty sure Sols got before and after pictures, that picture whore :-p

Sol 08-20-2005 10:04 AM

Actually no, I wish I would have though. The stock fogs are really something to be desired.

Chad V 08-20-2005 10:06 AM

lol I'll take a picture of my old fogs and photoshop them into a picture of Red Hot for the "original" picture. ;)
