These are freakin sweet!
If you ever wanna upgrade your lights, I recommend getting some Pilots.
http://www.solsblog.com/temp/pilots_2.jpg http://www.solsblog.com/temp/pilots_1.jpg (longer exposure) I went for a little drive tonight. What a difference those make! I can see everything. My headlights are useless now. |
I agree. My Pilot fog lights are better than my headlights, close up anyways.

Looks good nice and bright what type of bulb?

Are those the Pilot Cyberwhites? If so, it's an H3 55w bulb. Great lamp and reflector design.
Try them with the 100W H3's. That's what I run in the Zilla. |
Yup, they are the Cyberwhites.
I can only imagine what the 100W ones would do. |
how much did they set you back?

Autozone sells them for 30 under the Pilot name, and WalMart sells them for similar under the Navigator name.
Great lights, and even with the 100W H3's, I don't get brights flashed at me by oncoming cars. They aim the light where it SHOULD be. I love mine, and have them on both cars now. |
I reckon it's time for an upgrade.
|
Aviator, your mounting will be identical to my 95. I can shoot pics from underneath to show you if you like.

I'll shoot pics of both to show the differences.
|
how much modification has to be made to use these?
|
I used stock wiring. I did a lot of research before hand, and the stock wiring should be sufficient enough. So bascially it was just the matter of modifying the bracket to fit these fogs, because they are a universal set made for any application.
|
ok cool

Easy to spot in the store. I don't have any of my original boxes......I'll look (btw, still intend to post mounting options for both the locations on the SE/SSEi later today).....
Pilot: http://www.pilotautomotive.com/pilot2ef.htm Google Cyberwhite navigator for that version, unless Pilot bought them out. |

I just bought a set of pilots today, 20 bucks though they're smaller ones. See my new post for pics. I love them too, VERY bright. Of course i had to wire mine myself but that wasn't a big deal. Totally worth it!
|
do you happen to have any shots from before you got the lights sol? for a before/after?
|
Im pretty sure Sols got before and after pictures, that picture whore :-p
|
Actually no, I wish I would have though. The stock fogs are really something to be desired.
|
lol I'll take a picture of my old fogs and photoshop them into a picture of Red Hot for the "original" picture. ;)
