SOME PICS AT THE TRACK

here are 2 pics that the track photographer took at the track of my car on Nov 2 nd
one was just staging and the other is just after launch, i had a 1.983 sec 60' this run. :D
notice the ET DRAGS on the front. they are 22x8x15 and changed my final drive from 2.97 to 3.51 ratio

Nice pix! What times did you run? Man those wheels look silly....

11-11-2003 07:30 PM

my times were sloooooooooooow, i was running lean and out of fuel after 300'
i ran a 14.88,14.92,14.94(on the brakes bracket racing),14.86, 14.87.
when i hit the 300' mark my A/F meter started going red and stayed there till i lifted at the end. i didnt have a scanner hooked up but i know i was getting KR due to running lean.
i know the wheels look silly, but they were free and were 15" rims with my bolt pattern.
they are hard to find here. i was just happy to find them.
but they stick like they have nails hanging out of the bottoms of them

Nice, hey, whatever makes you faster

Think you can dip into 13's with them, the gearing they give, and better fuel delivery?

defintly. , i was hoping for high 13's that day , but when i saw the A/F meter to red, i was like
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhggggggggggggggg
i did a run on the 26 th of oct. using my G TECH just to see how it would hook.
it was colder out , recorded a 14.15 @96.09 mph. with the tires on, i pulled .91 G's off the line. it hooked great and never spun a tire at all
who needs a LSD when you have slicks, (or as my youngest calls them, gumball tires  )

Nice!!! What kind of car might I find a set of those rims on?
I was just looking at my time slips from this past year and with my 1994 SLE (3.06) with 225/60/16 Michelin Symmetry's (those white walls give extreme traction) I accomplished the 60' in 2.335 for a best and my average was a 2.395.
How were your 1/8 #'s? My best was like a 10.18 @ 73.xx.
Only had one run down a 1/4 strip and my fuel pump went out just after the 60" point so I limped down the track in 16.71 @ 83 mph (constantly adjusting pressure on the GO pedal and letting off completely and hitting the brakes with over 150' to go yet).

1/8th mile timers were 9.36-9.40 sec. the rims i found were off of a 97 lumina
the mph on my 1/8 were slow too, 71-73 mph and 1/4 mph was only 89.
fuel starvation and KR will cut your mph a ton
