Snow and a new camera
Just got a 3.2MP Canon A75. I took these this morning after shoveling snow.
Pics resized to 1024x768 from 2048x1536. May the pic whoring commence! The '91 Bonneville SSE and the neighbour's '87 Bonneville LE. Excuse the window frames. http://repins.lesraystudio.com/dec23/2bonnevilles.jpg The 1991 SSE... it looks scared, peeking out from behind the tree. http://repins.lesraystudio.com/dec23/91sse.jpg The Nissan whlist warming up. http://repins.lesraystudio.com/dec23...awarmingup.jpg Cool shot: Ice on the window on the front porch. http://repins.lesraystudio.com/dec23/icedwindow.jpg The stack of snow, from ONE night. There's two more equally big stacks on my front lawn  http://repins.lesraystudio.com/dec23/snowstack.jpg Cool shot: Snow on the tree http://repins.lesraystudio.com/dec23/tree1.jpg Cool shot: Ice on tree branches (Japanese Maple tree) http://repins.lesraystudio.com/dec23/tree2.jpg Cool shot: Another shot of the ice on the Japanese Maple http://repins.lesraystudio.com/dec23/tree3.jpg Me model cars http://repins.lesraystudio.com/dec23/modelcars.jpg I wub this camera. :D |

nice pics. How cold is it there?
|
-4ºC... that's 24ºF?
With the windchill, it's -12º (8ºF?). The forecast calls for above freezing next week  |
Nice pics and a great camera.

Nice pics.
How many bytes per pic from a 3.2 ? My older 2.0 MP pics are normally 400 kb on the normal setting. |
Highest-quality, 3.2MP pics are about 1.6-1.7MB each, from the top of my head.
The next-worst quality pics are a hair over 1MB each. It comes with a 32MB card (which I'll be using for a little while), so at highest quality, I can take about 18 pics, and the next-worst, 33ish. 8) |

You should buy at least a 256 MB card to hold a decent number of pics. 512 MB or 1G would be better. |

Where do you host your pics at ? they r beautifull :)
|
 thanks for the compliments
... I host my pics on about ~20MB worth of webspace that a guy didn't need anymore on ToyotaNation.com's forums. I got lucky. I also have 10MB of space that my ISP gives me (my sigs and general pics, etc go here), I would check with your ISP and see if they offer webspace with their email accounts, I have 3 active accounts (with the possibility for more), so 30MB in total :) As for the filesize of each pic, the ones I posted here are resized and moderately compressed. They're half the original size, and after compression (25% in Jasc Paint Shop Pro) about about 120kb each... |
Those pics are perfect. I can make out you're modle cars perfictly. Nice cars by the way. Is that Mercedes a E55 AMG?
|
Nope, just an S500.
|
hhhmmmm thanks for the info I will have to check that out
|
Here is the origional sig pic I took with my Canon EOS 10D. This is the small image size, 1536x1024 (0.8mb). The large size would be 3072x2048 (2.4mb). You will definately need a larger CF card, at least a 256mb.

 I can see the orange peel on that paint job.
Very sharp picture !! |
More whoring, with vids this time:
Idling Away (Right-Click, Save Target As) 2.3MB. Burble Burble :) I did get some "action" shots last night (inside the car), but you can't hear anything. Not from the engine/exhaust, anyway. It's all bass and stuff, not a real reflection of the car. Right-Click, Save Target As Part of the reason why you can't hear anything is because of the radio, I don't think my mom's conversation interfered. I'll have better luck next time. |
