Try to ignore the dirty dam* car and notice the cleaner look of the clears. You know the Silver Stars are NOT cheap!

Anyway, some details for those that may have been wondering from before. The Clears DO NOT have a GM part number on them, only a GM specification number for the plastics/testing. The stock part numbers of the yellow side markers are: Passenger's - 16521730 and Driver's - 16521729, FWIW. The SStar biulb number you need for the front yellow replacement is 3157A/4157A.

Cheers! :beerchug:

harofreak00 03-07-2006 07:56 PM

eh, $20 for some cool lights fit right about perfect for me... $10 would have seemed to cheap :)

looks good :2thumbup:

driverjohn2005 03-07-2006 07:58 PM

Looks great! Clear and white always goes well!

lash 03-07-2006 08:04 PM

Well, it got the stamp of approval from my wife, who's only mildly interested in the whole "car thing". She likey, so that's a good thing

Jack 03-07-2006 08:26 PM

Very purdy, I love the silverstar/ clear corner combo, that's the way I went too ;)

1993 SLE 03-07-2006 08:27 PM

clear rocks on white

PRD2BDF 03-07-2006 08:29 PM

Interesting... I like it. :D

Yeah, well I thought it was better than just the clears alone, and am pleased with the results. :D

McGrath 03-07-2006 09:01 PM

Ed? could that be me? lol they look good

PRD2BDF 03-07-2006 09:13 PM

I'm just curious, okay? But the third pic, the corner looks like it's still popped out a bit? Is it still popped out or is it just a camera trick?

Peterg22000 03-07-2006 09:19 PM

Glad i pushed you over the edge...it was a good idea, i love the look mine gave my car

A20H 03-07-2006 09:20 PM

love the clear lights on any year bonneville

gm4life 03-07-2006 10:07 PM

White and cleared always looked great! Now I have to do mine someday... Yeah the day I get the time and the guts... H*ll might freeze over first. :?

SSEimatt93 03-07-2006 10:09 PM

Looking awesome, it really suites the 96-99 Bonnevilles IMO.

dbeast420 03-07-2006 10:28 PM

Looking good. the clears and the Ss are an awesome combo. I went the same way ;)

BillBoost37 03-07-2006 10:47 PM

Glad the wife gave the thumbs up. Since it's her daily driver, right? it's good she likey's.

She's probably liking your new obsession of the club more every mod you do. ;)

singscountry1967 03-07-2006 10:51 PM

they cant be popped out persay... cuz on the back is where it goes in the tab

lash 03-08-2006 10:07 AM

Thanks to all for the props. :)

Fuel, The reason it looks like that in the third pic is different lighting. The corners have a black rubber seal and the headlights don't. Other pics have a different lighting angle so it looks dark all around.

gm4life, It was a really simple mod, took all of 20 minutes and should have gone quicker except I had trouble with the first SS. The corners were in like flynn. Not sure if it's much different on your year.

dbeast, I know that's what you have. Seeing yours at SEBF made me like them, so maybe you are to blame...lol.

And BillB, you are right aboout that. Funny story: She called this morning to say that she noticed the car went faster with the new clear look and that she was noticing and feeling sorry for all those people that had regular yellow corners. LMAO!!!

BillBoost37 03-08-2006 10:19 AM

LOL...faster because of clear corners...I hope you corrected her and said it was because of the sticker you added under the hood.

lash 03-08-2006 10:21 AM

She was joking of course, but really likes the mod...

I told her to wait and see the improvement when I put the BC stickers on.

Thanks Bob (CDA) ;) It will look even better once I wash it this weekend. That's why I didn't take better pics. The car is soooo dirty, and no excuse either, lol.

BillBoost37 03-08-2006 10:57 AM

CDA and CDS.. you both have warm sunny climates.

Wash the freaking cars!

And stop using your names in public!

You should ask your wife if she topped off the blinker fluid before she left. I hope she's that gullible.

Bandit..search for the guy with the lambo doors. He did the headlight swap.

ChaseSmith 03-08-2006 01:57 PM

Those look sweeeeet on there. IMO the white cars look best with clear corners, especially 96-99 8)

lash 03-08-2006 02:10 PM

Thanks, Chase.

And Bandit, stolen from the first mod thread:
The guy w/the lambo doors Bill mentioned above that did the headlight swap.
