Have not been on this site in some time and decided to come back so figured I would share with all of you my project. I own (2) Lesabre T-types. One 88 and one 89, but have had 5 over all between parts cars and what not. Anyway I had bought a silver 89 while in college a couple years ago with the intent to just drive it for a while. Well once I got out I wanted a new car but could not afford anything I really wanted so I decided to make my T-type just as good as new. I wanted to do everything and believe it or not the price was not bad at all. I also decided to do a L67 swap. Well after some time and gathering all the parts and refinishing our garage I got ready to do the resto/ engine swap. Well the first silver T was far to rusted to save so I acquired a new 78K mile silver T. Currently I am getting the car ready for paint, and refreshing the motor and putting in some mods as well.

My mod List:
XP cam (double roller timing set and machined cover)
105 # valve springs and modded retainers
TOG headers
3.4 pulley
Tune
Full exhaust with high flow cat
N* TB
ZZP shift kit
180 T-stat
Auto lite 104s
Bonneville SSEi front suspension and brakes (larger than my stock stuff)
Custom made 1.5 inch drop springs
KYB struts
6K HIDs
Z34 hood vents
Mustang Bullitt wheels
Upgraded Stereo (nothing to extreme)
Two tone Black and grey leather interior

Good list of mods. Going to be a lot of work, but worth it. You doing anything to the transmission?

Please get a picture of the connector hole on the alternator. The 98 B'ville has a different one.

I've been tempted to do a similar conversion for a number of years. I had always liked the LeSabre T-Types, and they have flown under the radar since new. Please keep us in the loop with your project.

Nice!. A walk down memory lane. I had one in light blue. Gave to a daughter.

So I got the motor torn down as far as I plan on taking it, and I think it looks pretty good. I took the main bearing cap off and inspected the bearing. The bearing looked pretty good, very light scuffing but that was it. no discoloration no deep grove. Anyway now to put it all back together and make it look pretty.
