New (to me) 2008 G8 GT
Some of you know me from my other build, but I just found a nice 2008 G8 GT to buy. My 2001 530i was getting long in the tooth and starting nickle and dime me. My wife was actually afraid of it breaking down on us if we were to take a longer ride. We've already been towed home three times. But this afforded me the opportunity to find what I really wanted. A 4 door Pontiac performance car.
When I first came to this forum I owned a 2002 SSEi, stock but with potential. Being our family car and having other cars to modify, I kept it stock. But with the idea of doing little things over time. It was totaled in a freak giant hail storm, which then brought us to the 2001 BMW. Low miles, excellent condition, and a nice overall car. G8'* were too far out of my price range at the time. But not anymore, hence the purchase. All black, inside, outside, upside down, LOL.
Here'* the pics of the G8 sitting in my back yard. Waiting for the title to clear the Credit Union that held the title.
My plan is to add things over the years that will enhance power but with a lean towards improved MPG and staying with regular (not higher octane fuels). I hate the way they've jacked up the difference between the regular and higher octane gasoline. Down here it is 13 cents for every jump. I want to tune it to the limit of regular 87 octane. The usual bolt ons should still work well. Just have to keep it out of detonation. So let me know what you think of the new car. Thanks for looking. And thanks for all your support on my other build.

Sorry, forgot the engine pics. Added some back set and trunk shots as well.
Engine with engine cover on.
Engine with cover pulled off. Still a little dusty under the engine cover.
Back seat area.
Good sized deep trunk.

They will not release the title until the funds are accounted for. Even though I used a "cashiers check' they said it still must clear through the system first. First time that I've ever heard of anyone not accepting a cashiers check as "cash"???? That'* what it is supposed to be used for.

Every one is getting paranoid these days. Heck, even banks wait to verify their own checks.
