Haha, hey now...maybe I won't change anything on this car and leave it just like it is? I mean it could be possible...right? right?

As far as what COTM is based on, a couple years ago when it started (or at least when I joined) and when I won car of the month with my bonneville, it was about the picture of the car. I'm not sure if thats how it is now, but back then they said the whole COTM was created to encourage people to go out and be creative with taking pictures with good backgrounds and creative angles, so that we all could see and enjoy them and it would I guess then contribute to conversation and new threads in the picture section. Since COTM is in the pictures section..it really should be for the pictures..MOTM is about the person..and if it was about the actual car it makes it a little unfair, as everyone car is different so it would become a "is that $70k car nicer than this $500 car type of thing"... In the picture section, a $500 car in a cool picture will get my vote over a $70k car in a picture sitting in the Walmart parking lot with other cars and people in the picture.. Just saying.. If it was in the performance section, then the votes I would say should be about the performance work done etc.. But since COTM is in the Picture section I always assumed it was about the "pictures", as no matter what car you have..everyone has the same chance of winning, as all it takes is having fun with taking some nice pictures.

Just my .02 and understanding on the subject..but everyone is free to see it as and vote however they want

Ya I honestly like the "Fake" look better than the actual one..the actual one is kind of bulky/too much plastic etc..It looks nice IMO, but the fake way just is just a cleaner look.

Ya just reading the description of that car it makes me feel iffy..Dubs and "Copper" Orange (BOM - Brazen Orange Metallic) sounds like an owner who doesn't know much about the car?

It is SOOOO hard to find one of these cars and being able to talk with the original owner...know everything about it, what has been fixed, what hasn't, what issues it has had or what has been changed etc.. AND it still be clean and in as close to new condition as a 5+ year old vehicle can be.

This is why when I was looking I didn't even look at cars being sold by dealers..I wanted a car from a private owner that pampered the car and could tell me everything. Once I finally found that I couldn't pass it up, especially since it was only the second owner and I was able to talk with the original owner of the car as well..which is why I didn't have time to get rid of the Bonneville first. It'* always better to wait to find exactly what you want and not settle.

My second color choice was BOM too..unfortunately that didn't come on the 04'* and I wanted an 04 as I like the plain hood and rear bumper with the dual exhaust on one side on these cars better than the fake ram air hood and rear bumper on the 05 and 06'*.

I might be the minority on that, but the 04'* just have a sleek, clean look to them that I love...so sorry guys no ram air hood are in the plans for going on this car..I love the clean look

Side note..I FINALLY got to open the car up on the interstate today in a isolated area..where I figured I wouldn't have to worry about traction like I do from low speeds.. Lets just say I STILL don't know how hard this damn car will really pull...errrr I shifted down to 5th, then to 4th at 70mph and TRIED to put it to the floor..but couldn't keep the pedal to the floor at 80mph..or 90mph ...finally when I hit just over 100 the damn traction control stopped yelling at me and kicking back the pedal and I was able to actually finally get the pedal to the floor and stay in it for a second or two before I had to let out. I was grinning ear to ear after that lol.

It'* not crappy tires either..265 wide, great tread, and 90* out with scorching hot pavement is a good combination for traction.

For a small cam, it sure screams when you hit over 4000 rpm..it'* like having a 75 shot of nitrous suddenly come on. I am addicted to the power...Soon enough it won't be enough though..thats how it always goes. A Nice Maggie under the hood can take care of that problem though.. Can you say 500+rwhp...mmmmm

ahh i wish I lived where you live, also those upper grills look much better painted, too bad they arent set further in like that other bumper, but painting them black like that makes them look much better.

Thinking of taking the car a new route appearance wise and thought I would see what others thought..obviously everyone is going to have a different opinion, but thought I would check anyways.

First picture is how it was aka..been there done that, time to move on to better things after having the car a couple weeks lol..

Second Picture is how it will at least FOR SURE be - tinted fogs, tinted side markers, tinted windows, and tinted tails (tails are already done, just haven't posted pictures yet)

Third picture is what it MIGHT be - black wheels\ spokes, GTO side badge removed, and tinted headlights along with everything else in picture 2

Opinions?

Haha, with all that black you should have just bought a black one.

IMO opinion blue deserves to have things that "pop" on it, not to make everything blend in.

Hell no to the black vehicle..been there done that and it was a pain in the A** lol..I just wasn't sure on the black wheels, looks kind of cool, but the car starts getting too dark maybe. It needs the things done in the second picture though, as the windows look awful not tinted..the tails looked horrible being all red, and the orange side markers stick out like a sore thumb and don't flow well at all. The fogs I want to tint, as it will make the front end look a lot better, being I painted the grilles and lower bumper black. I think when I at least get the damn windows done already I will be much happier with the look of the car..and happier about driving it and not needing the A/C to be on high just to keep from heat stroke lol. I was hoping to do that last week, but ordered a new exhaust for the car, so now tint has been pushed back another week or two again
