that is a performance and normal shift buttons, all SSEi and SSE s/c have them.

you can install one in your SSE as it changes the shift points at WOT. your car is set in the performance mode with out the button. If you put in the buttons, when you were in normal shift the car would shift at a lower rpm at WOT

Huh!!! :? You sure? If so I guess I'll have to dig one up from a yard -gave mine all away. Would be sweet to get an extra .5 mpg from that bugger.
Who's put a perf/norm shift panel in their 1996-1999 SSE to test this?

I know that JDB, and BonneMEMN, and Willwren (did it to his neighbors) have done this to there SSE, SLE, and SSE with the 3.06 trans. If you dont have the button your car is set in performance, if you install the buttons it will just lower the shift points. I have a perf/normal shift pod, at the house here and I will be doing the test on January 9th when i get back to school
