killing time and made a video
Had a little free time today so I made a little video of the roundabouts and my yard. My wife said, where you going? Just going to shoot a video showing the roundabouts for the car club. She gave me the eye roll.
This one shows the 3 roundabouts right in a row. Gave it a little under the interstate. The sound just don't do justice to real life.
This here is about 3/4 of a mile down at my house. Just getting started on the work.

Gee..with all those roundabouts..how can you drive, talk on the cell phone and drink a beer all at once?
Roundabouts are starting to take hold here in Washington. They seem to work at controlling traffic flows and speeds at non-light controlled intersections. They are wickedly fun on my 1800VTX!

We only had one in our area up in the city North of us. It was put in where a busy intersection used to clog every morning and afternoon. The roundabout killed a few people here and there, and a gas tanker truck flipped on it'* side/exploded and took out a couple houses. They finally made elevated "flyby'*" for East/West traffic with exit/entrance ramps in to and off of North/South traffic which come to an intersection made of the old circle. Pretty big farce. Millions to construct/ Millions to destruct.

Yeah, those roundabouts suck.
I have to go through that exchange periodically, and I hate 'em.
The worst is when I have the Suburban and I'm pulling a trailer....PITA!!!!!
They have a few in West Bend too.
