mmmmm Red. Looks great. Why didn't you put tire shine on ? would i affect the paint?

Baileyjack 05-02-2006 06:01 PM

The paint was less then 24hrs old didn't want to take the chance. :D

Ok, so how are people getting these "Bonneville" decals on? who sells them that small? Wouldn't the decals come off/discolor or burn from the high heat?

Looks good BTW ;)

Wow, that looks amazing! What kind of paint did you use? Is that acrylic or spray paint? Where can that paint be found?

Why are you getting new rims? I love the ones that you already have.

those calipers look SOO HAWT!!! AMAZING, i think i need to do mine, but the laces hide the caliper...

BillBoost37 05-03-2006 11:12 AM

Only thing to watch out for is that the pads still slide on the sliders. Some have painted them too much and now the sliders bind up.

Shadow 05-03-2006 11:17 AM

You did a great job. If my GXP didnt come that way allready I would do that. I am going to paint my rusted rotors though.

Nice touch with the bonneville on the brakes....I would have wrote BREMBO on mine......

Singscountry posted this link for caliper paint

I got mine at Canadian Tire

I picked up a caliper paint kit. However being 97...also have drums. There's plenty of paint to do the drums as well.

Another alternative is to get 500F degree engine paint in a spray can. That's how I quickly and easily painted up my drums.
