Default Ripping out stuff. 56K welcome, I think

Here are some links to pictures of "car work." I got my car when it was well into the 270Ks, and now it has over 285.5K miles on it. It looks a lot better now than it did 2 weeks ago when these pictures were taken.

Driver'* Side. The center console and the carpeting are gone. 4 types of mold were identified on the carpeting by an EMT, and we found some antifreeze as well. The padding below it is wet even on a hot, dry day. It'* going.

I fixed the rust. Terrible, wasn't it?

Now, from another angle!

A while ago, someone commented on how filthy the engine was when I first got the car. Here'* some progress:

That'* James in the background.

I riced the AC line because it looks better than corroded aluminum.

I don't know where I'm going with all these alternator shots.

Styrofoam in my trunk, for some reason. I sanded down the rust, which had completely taken away the paint from under the moldy trunk carpeting. I then primed it and sprayed it down with fender well "asphalt" twice over. This got 3 coats of truck bed liner, but rust is still coming through. I've found the solution, and I'll post about it tomorrow.

I found my car'* trim had been kicked off during a New Year party.

This literally is the best part of the driver'* seat.

Hayabusa

That'* all I have for now. Thanks for looking. Sorry for the depressing state of the car, and I assure you it'* being worked on. In the meantime, check out nagel79'* mini-meet post showing how well this Bonnie did at the drag strip.

yeah i was trying to figure out how the carpet was ripped out with the seats, My guess is that its a daily driver and the seats will be out when the new carpet goes in.

no thats not his bike. He pulled out the seats, took out the carpet and put the seats back in. He'* trying to find new carpet as the old carpet was moldy and really unusable.

Nagel....

That'* my sister'* boyfriend'* bike. I wanted to build up suspense for no real reason. It'* very orange.

The seats, center console, and everything else we ripped out. Then, when we used extra-thick industrial gloves to take out the carpeting, we had some more fun. The insulating foamy stuff below the carpet was so drenched in mold, antifreeze, and other phenomenal things that on a hot day, we jumped on the stuff, and liquids squirted out the sides.

The front 2 seats were put back in, and I don't want to put in my new center console exterior until I get my carpeting and new seats. I ordered the seats from 1993 SLE a few weeks ago, and I'm waiting until then to redo my interior completely. I'm currently sanding rust spots and hosing it down with something awesome. I forgot the name, and I'll show it on this forum shortly. In a condition similar to this, I raced the Bonneville, as seen in this section under Mark Nagel'* post.

yea i caught my leak before it was to late i pulled everything and sprayed the whole inside of the car with truck bed coating and packed fiberglass material over it then put the factory stuff on top of that but while you have it stripped go to home depot get the great stuff foam spray crap and inject your rocker panels and other cavities on the body with it that will also keep rust from eating everything not to mention my car is so quiet now on the highway!
