Could I give you one piece of advice from experience?
Lose the bra.
My 96 SSE came with a bra and I was hesitant to put it on. I only had it on when driving on long interstate trips and took it off and washed the car as soon as I got to my destination. My wife complained endlessly about my doing this but I did it anyway. Then, after one trip, not too hot or cold weather, I noticed my clear coat was cloudy. I never put the bra back on. The clear coat came off, then the paint.
Three paint jobs later, my hood looks like sh*t. I have never been able to keep paint on the hood due to that damned bra.
Might not happen to your car, but the SSE was my baby. And now it looks like crap. Thanks Leathermen.
