Excellent pictures! That looks very similar to my Bonneville. At 185K miles, you're slightly ahead of me. Still looking good.
The SLE is a package that you add to the base model to get upgrades like the body kit and some interior options. The SSE is the highest package level, but you can have a supercharger added with the i thingie. This is from what I've read over the years, but perhaps this has changed with more available insight?

SLE was just an option package in like 95-97. It was just for interior options. In 98 it got all of the styling cues of the SSE, and actually became a model.
