Another L67 fire? Passenger side, looks to be down towards the exhaust manifold? Deja Vu

Are they due to modifications to the engine? Or another one of GM'* faulty engineering?

No official answer. A recall was done of some 3800 L67 powered cars, but the recall didnt include Bonnevilles. But we have seen our share of them. The recall cites an oil leak that under acceleration splashes the oil back on the exhaust manifold.

Nice reminder Todd!

Everyone who'* in this forum should do the same thing - keep a fire extinguisher in your trunk. Don't just have it sit there, use a automotive mounting bracket and get it installed so it doesn't bounce around. A dry chemical or a Halon based (if you can find them) will be enough to keep a small fire from growing large.

Yikes. Nice of you to try to help out.
Too bad you joined under those circumstances, though...
