I agree, it does look cheaper with the black mirrors. I was thinking about painting them myself, except I'm a bit hesitant because they have a slightly rough texture; they are not smooth like the rest of the body
Yeah, I have the same mirror thing going on...and with time they get dull. I'm still trying to find a way to get mine blacker and shinier.

Great looking car!!

Car looks great. I'll be in Syracuse tomorrow morning like 8:00. The Lumina and I are hitching a ride with my dad when he goes up to get my friend'* car, which currently has a top speed on 15mhp (Stupid Chrysler )

How much for the firebird?

Firebird, since it has only 67,000 (or close to it) miles, and is one of 600 made, is going for $5,000. A little high IMO, and I cannot get a price quote on a "Bandit" from KBB... just a plain old Firebird with the same miles and year and condition is about $2300 private party. Needs some touch up on the painting, but other than that it is pretty nice....but not fast whatsoever. I told my parents they should put it on ebay...it would sell quick! Hell, my rusty Cutlass sold in 23 hours

PJ...if your mirrors are dull I could only think to wax it really good. But I'm sure you've tried that. My mirrors are a flat black plastic so at least I don't have to worry about them fading.

Nice car, really good setup w/o the badges on the back too.

As for your mirrors Jeanie, I used Teflon based wax[boat wax] on my blazers side mirros which were also that plastic painted stuff. Same stuff used on Plastic and Fiberglass boats. Gets ride of Oxidation or waterspots and shines out really good. Plus it holds it own against repeat washing and rain.

Nice! Trim level? Motor? Trans?
Also, check out www.aseclub.net
My Big Bro has a 97 Avenger(down for the count, we think the clutches in the auto trans are shot) and this club has the same kind of vibe going that we do.

Cool, I'll check that out. Thanks! As far as I know it'* an LX, according to the VIN it is..but I didn't have the LX badge on the back when I got it. I took the Sebring badge off the back and replaced it with the brake overlay. It has the 2.4L 4cyl DOHC engine, 150hp. Pretty decent pickup, but I'm not trying/pretending to be fast. I'm babying it. Not sure what the trans is specifically.
