My new 96 SSEi
I already posted the link in the new members section but i figure its ok to ***** it up when
your new... so if anyone want to see some pics of my black 1996 Bonneville SSEi just click
the link:
www.pitt.edu/~jtp11/bonneville.html
plan on blacking out the tailights and clearing the corners as soon as i get that dent out of
the hood and touch up the paint but all in all its not a bad start.
Some interior pics and a picture of the original window sticker will be coming shortly as
soon as I get it back from the glass man I dropped it off after business hours there was a
low crack in the windshield almost not visible in the pics....which are also very forgiving to
the scratches to my suprise

lol yes yes it is my mom
Originally i had that being the first thing you see when you pull up the page... but i got a phone call and I was about disowned when she saw it not her best pic lol
edit: that was after we had just spent the last few hours tearing it apart and cleaning every nook and cranny we could find.... very flattering i must say... ps she will track you down and kill you for putting that on the web again( I'm serious watch your back she'* more connected then she looks lol)... should have removed it from pitt unix ftp i guess heh i'll do it in the morning
AS for everything else on that site i've made no effort whatsoever... i was supposed to make a page about myself for a class but that kinda fell to the wayside for the bonneville pics maybe tommorrow i'm to lazy to do this stuff in the summer

yeah love the black...
You all have no idea how dirty this car was when i bought it...
The guy was the original owner and i swear it wasn't cleaned since he bought it
We spent over 6 hours scrubbing the interior down getting the ground in dirt out of the leather and door panels, shampooing the carpet, scrubbing the dash..... it was sick but you could tell there was somehting underneath worth getting too
The exterior was just as bad... he'd left tar paper resting on the hood and in the summer heat it had adhered. So we soaked the tar paper and carefully took it off.. there were so many little scratches all over that were buffed/scrubbed out with this black restoration stuff we had... i have no idea how he dented the hood like that... the windshield has a huge crack in it you can't see
SOooo, now that its clean... the windshield is being replaced as we speak... I'm searching for some missing speaker/light covers at the local junks.... and my mechanic will be looking at a few things for me as soon as I get around to dropping it by his house
One day I'll have her back to the condition she should be in...... not the way you should treat a car....he should be ashamed of himself as a original owner...
but i'll have her sittin pretty in no time

Well suprisingly he has all the records...
the body has 191,000 miles on while the engine was replaced at 140,000 or so
All the documentation was provided and the replacement was a brand new "crate" so 50k on the new engine
The transmission in only 10k old all documentation provided as well
everything seems to be in good working order but my mechanic will be going over everything shortly... couldn't beat the price frankly... he was a-title and you could tell with a lil cleaning up and some work it could be made back into a gem (he was obviously a gear head, had a couple muscle cars 454'* in the driveway but just a generally grubby person lol)
It was run long and hard i know that for sure he was making runs for a trucking company with it tailing Rigs to Sandeigo.
I'll keep you updated as I find more out about the whats going on under the hood, etc
