My Bonneville landed in Germany

Hi Everyone,
well it seemed like a never ending story but it took almost 4 month after i saw the car until it was finally here.
Its a 1999 Bonneville in Dark Cherry with Tan Interior.
See Germans dont build cars like Pontiac and the Bonneville is by far the coolest car for a daily driver.
I allready had a 1988 Bonneville and and a 1993 SSEi in Black. But this one is the coolest one. It has every option possible, drives awesome and is perfect with only 40000 miles on it.
I love this board cause i always find answers for every question i have. Thanxs a lot and i hope you like the car

This picture was taken right after the car arrived here

Very nice 8)

I see it has swoopie rims on it also, did you put those on? Those are sweet looking rims to begin with, and they look even better on the older generations IMO 8)

I vaguely remember that ebay auction....actually, I think I was bidding on that very one! Either way, I remember seeing it, and it went for a very good price IIRC.

Wow, right on. Good to see some GM love across the pond. I hope that SSE serves you well. Interesting that it has rims from a 2000 on it.

Cool :D

Danthurs 03-08-2008 02:44 PM

I love that color. 8)

What you do? Have your finger over the lense on that first picture? The fronts in focus and the back isn't.

big_news_1 03-08-2008 02:47 PM

We need videos of the Bonneville on the Autobahn!!!

GoldenBullet 03-08-2008 05:06 PM

Glad to see she made it there safe and sound! Did you have the extra set of rims shipped in the trunk?

1995BvSSE 03-08-2008 06:51 PM

That car is gorgeous! I'd trade mine for that in a heartbeat.

So the engineer in me has to ask: if it breaks down, you'd be waiting a little while for parts?

Most of the parts are easy to get here. only when it comes to Bodyparts it takes a little longer but its worth it. I just love american cars cause german cars are either to expensive for what you get or are just so little.
The Bonneville is just my favourite car. You really get everything and for a little price compared to european cars. Plus the cars have much more charisma :D

Hmmm...In the USA its cool to have a BMW and in Germany its cool to have a Pontiac...lol BMWs dont cost the money there like they do here. Heck there you can get a V6 7 series with cloth interior.

erics00ls 03-10-2008 06:26 AM

very nice car. i'm betting you get quite a lot of looks over there with the car being different from what's normally there

Allmachtige 03-10-2008 01:56 PM

My brother-in-law lives just outside Nuernberg and I couldn't imagine an American car fitting through the local streets. His Audi A3 is almost too big. ;)

You seem to have experience driving these cars on German roads, so how do you do it? :)

Daver 03-10-2008 10:08 PM

If you dont mind me asking how much did it cost to ship it over?

skunk66 03-11-2008 02:22 AM

I am used to drive big cars since i had my first Bonneville and i drove a 93 Buick Park Avenue for almost 3 years. Its funny when i go to some places and the Bonne is always the biggest car on the lot cause it seems to be even bigger then most of the 7 Series from BMW.
For the last 2 years i drove a 91 Chevy Beretta which i bought for only $ 1200 with only 23000 miles on it. Nobody knew about that car or what it is so this way i got it really cheap but it was a great car. Never had any problems with it but i always wanted another Bonneville again cause o the comfort and size. You always feel like you are driving an Airplane. I met this lady a few weeks ago who drives an Opel Corsa which is the size of the Bonneville Hood HAHA :D So she was really shocked about the bonne size

The Shipping was actually real cheap and did cost $ 700 from Jersey to Germany.

Daver 03-11-2008 04:43 PM

THat is relly cheap I was thinking about $2000.

L27Buick 03-11-2008 05:51 PM

700 is super cheap they want 1200 from cali to hawaii for my car. congrats on the buy.

Gumball 03-11-2008 08:02 PM

Thanks for representing our cars in Germany. she sure is a beauty ;)

now you need a club sticker. :D

BonnieBrougham 03-13-2008 01:00 PM

Oh, lovely! Good to see pictures from a true Bonne fan overseas! Beautiful car. The rims look wonderful on it!
