Surprise Orygun mini-meet....NOW ROUND 2
Drove the Honda to 7-11 this morning to pick up a couple things. Just about 5 blocks from the house. Decided to drive the Honda to give it some visibility with the For Sale signs in it.
Noticed a black 96 SSEi there. Parked next to it and watched while I paid to see who went to it. Mom and an 8-year-old boy. Walked out and casually mentioned she had good taste in cars.
She immediately RECOGNIZED me. "You're that guy with the green ones!"
Yup. That'* me (laughing). Driving the beater to sell it. She'* immediately interested in the Honda for her daughter. Then begins to tell me she had a shredded SC belt yesterday, and her mechanic replaced it, and the new one is shredded already this morning.
"Yup. I know what'* wrong"
(without even opening the hood)
I was right. She had to go to Albany (about 20 miles) this morning, so I told her to zip over to my driveway for about 5 minutes before she went. I have a used spare pulley for her, and she can live on a 5-rib belt for a little while.
Meet Melissa (confirmed leadfoot very interested in WCBF and running at Woodburn) and Colton sharing the cat with my Katie:
She'* on her way to NAPA for a belt, smooth pulley, and grooved pulley (it'* going south fast).
Add another SSEi to the track roster for WCBF!

Good news in this day and age, I'm surprised she didn't think you were some kinda weirdo, One reason why I never mention this club to anyone, looks like she didn't take it the wrong way, and you helped her out too.
