My strut brace is covered in chrome rocker panel tape that I got at Autozone for like $5 and it took all of about 2 minutes to get it on there with no air bubbles to make it look like it was dipped. I removed the stock PCM housing and made a smaller one out of aluminum to make room for my CAI. a little off topic, your car would look hot as hell with silver crosslace rims IMO.

I do like the billet grille on your black Bonnie, now that I've seen one, I just may have to do something like that too...in gold!

Rocker tape, something I would never have thought of, off to the parts store one more time...

On my black SSEi, I think that would look awesome!!!

ya roadtech,I was thinking the same thing about the rims. Can you paint rims with anything durable enough to last on rims? If I have to buy some, I think I'll get some nice polished five-stars off a grand-prix rather than crosslace.

Here is a link to a good paint to use.

the hwp101 silver and hwp 103 clear will give you a factory perfect color match. Screw it, I'll bring the beer and paint to your place, you provide the food :P
I painted my rims with the 102 graphite...

sounds great! Think your up for a bit of a road trip though, I live in Canada bro. What did you do to prep your rims, and how are they holding up?

For prep I used Aircraft paint stripper and an industrial pressure washer with heat. I primed the rims with high heat engine primer and laid on 3 coats of paint and 3 coats of clear. It has lasted about a year with no chipping fading or cracking. As far as a road trip goes. If I get some time off this summer it would be very doable. it would be a great time to put together a meet so many of us can get together and drool at one another'* Bonnies.

got a good start on my tint this weekend. Not quite perfect, but not too bad for a first timer in my driveway. The big test is still coming though, the back windshield. I'm not afraid though, I have a secret weapon, my heat gun.
