Default my paint job sucks!

i have come to realize that my paintjob sucks, and as soon as my windshield gets put in, im thinking about a brand new sexy black...

doesnt look to bad from far away, actually looks pretty good

you can see all the defects on the hood, scratches, perminant waterspots, fading...

rock chips have completely gone through the paint all the way down to the plastic

this is the fading/perminant water spots on the hood

tons of little scratches on the mirrors

an extremely weird keying of some type

scratches on back pillar

here you can see the difference between the hood and the fender

not sure what causes these, they do not buff out...what should i do?

same problem, they look like its water forming under the clearcoat or wax...how do i get this off?

Don't repaint! I'd say hold off for now, you're still a kid, and you can spend over $2k on much better things IMO.

But when you do, do things to protect it, like mudflaps, good wax, etc.

Take it to a bodyshop and ask for a quote on a "Cut wax", they'll tell you if it will work or if the scratches are too deep. This is cheaper than a paint job but does not always work. I had a lot of light scratches on a 4x4 I had run through the bush. Nothing I tried worked to get them all out (black truck), took it in and for $250 cdn it was like new.

You gotta watch it with Maaco, the quality you get varies alot, but usually is sub-par.
Make sure that, where-ever you take it, they use PPG paints.

That'* a Maaco paint job? Best one i've ever seen by them.

I agree, PPG paints are the best, just like their windshields and autoglass. Don't skimp at all.

I would also recommend getting a pro to polish it up with some number 1-3 cutter...
