hopefully no more tint tickets...new tint (10-1024x768 pics)
Since I had the gift certificate just sitting on my desk waiting for me to make an appointment, I finally did it. I had new tint professionally installed by Auto Visions "a division of Sun Control". They removed the old tint on the rear window for $95, and they guaranteed not to damage the rear defrost and antenna since they use heat and chemicals instead of a razor blade and googone
They did the entire removal and installation in 3 hours flat while I sat in the lounge and played with their dogs and watched endless episodes of court tv
I saved the tint shop some time and saved myself some money by pulling out the door panels and the back dash.
A special thanks to Darcy (ddalder) who happened to be here this entire week, we accomplished many things..which I will get to later, but most importantly, we... I mean he, fixed the wiring in my right rear door. The wire was corroded and broke near the door jam, causing my window to not roll down, which would have not been good for the tint guys!
Anyways..here are the finished pics. I just put tire shine on last night, but with 3 hours of driving in a downpour, you can't even tell.
In case you were wondering, the film is LLUMAR ATR50 all around.
Granted.. its not that dark...but its legal. With 5 tint violations in my record, I can't afford any more tickets about tint.

did you pull the harness off of the drivers door panel... that would be the only way to roll the windows down because of the design of the connectors...
and the Tint looks good...LLumar is a really good brand
