Default 98 LeSabre 0-90; 90*, up a 5-degree grade; top end sux!!!

Headed home from work early today. Decided to take the long way home through the foothills East of San Diego.

Road was straight, noone in sight a mile ahead or 2 miles behind, and I had the camera...so what the heck; stopped, footbraked to 2000 rpm, and took off:

(This vid shot at air temp 90 degrees F, going up a long 5 degree grade.)

All I can say is, dang this L36 runs out of breath above 4500 rpm.
I'm hoping a 2.5" DP and high-flow cat (next mods) will provide some minor high-end relief until my project heads are ready.

I thought you guys were joking about the "techno-sounding" audio compression artifacts

That "note" is the sound of 17* of spark advance, which is the best I can do on 87 octane oxygenated pump fuel in this heat with no KR. Current exhaust is completely stock (except ported front EM).

TJ and I are co-developing something like a polymer-based HV3 knock-off...I see Don (firebuick) is doing something also, and willwren is going all-out on a high-tech variable version, I hear...
