It just dawned on me why it sounds so cool when you hear these cars screaming past.

There are 53 gears on each mating sprocket that drives the rotors. If the SC is spinning at 10,000 rpm that equates to about 8,800 cycles per sec (hz)
At 14,000 rpm, like in Bill'* case, that'* 12,300 hz.

Within the upper range of human hearing.......ahhhhhh....such a sweet sound.

No, I actually haven't even touched them yet. From the looks of them they came out of an early 2004 that had about 60,000 miles on it.

I tried uploading it 3 times and this was the best I got......it serves the purpose.

So at 18,000 rpms that would be like ~ 17,000 hz! It is a sweet sound. I just went for a short little drive so I could hear mine whine.
