I've been ashamed to show these pics. But a son should learn to join the club if he owns a Bonneville if he wants to prevent his mother from posting his embarassing moments. Since he will probably never find time to...this is what happened about a month ago:

Me: "Nick...why aren't your foglights working?"
Nick: "Ummmm....they're probaby busted."
Me: "Nick...why might they be busted?"
Nick: "Ummmm...<shuffling feet>...they haven't worked since I went into the ditch last week...<avoiding eye contact>...didn't I tell you?"
Me: "Ummm....that would be a no..."

Proceeding out to the driveway with intrepedation, camera in hand, I came across this pitiful sight:

I thought to myself...it's a good thing we didn't splurge for the Angel Eyes...

Nick: "Don't worry mom! I checked it out and there's only a small dent on the radiator...it still works fine"

With a heavy sigh, thinking ...at least the kid didn't get hurt...I walked to the rear of the car to find a sight that made me cringe:

My first thoughts were: ...shit! Randman1 just went through the trouble of putting this SSEi bumper on for us...Shit! ...and one exhaust tip is missing....

Exhaust tip: $20
Foglights: $40
Used bumper cover: $150

Driving lesson on snowy roads without getting killed: Priceless

could have been worse...but he did a number on that car.

Agreed it could have been worse and glad there was no personal injury at the time of the accident.

You betcha! Lord knows he won't listen to his mother about anything. What could SHE possible know? Perhaps a bunch of BC boys will do him good.

Thanks all!

He claims not...been driving it for a month like this now...doesn't appear to have any residual effects...but then again, it took him a week to admit to me he went in the ditch! (he was at his father's house, I saw it the first day he came back). He slid off a 90 degree turn...into a 3 ft ditch. Oh yea...he lost the license plate too! Went back for it two weeks later...it was stuck in the mud.
