Default my LEDs

ive had them in for a while now, but finally got around to taking some pics.
i wired them all custom, to a switch (the extra red LED you see) that sits right by my Traction control button. you can see it'* not mounted yet... i may eventually mold it in with the missing buttons where performance shift button and the other options i don't have would be.
they're SUPER bright at night. My dash lights are at maximum brightness for a rough comparison. i want to aim the passenger side ones better so you can't see the individual outline of each LED, and more into the footwell away from the seat.
i also have blue LEDs in my courtesy lights, replaced the control illumination LEDs with blue, and am in the process of converting the overhead/map lights to white LEDs

like? dislike? rice?

I've always liked the glow on the floor. I had red years ago back in the 80s. I like the way it looks, I may have to do that again with my bonnie.

If you want a more dispersed light pattern, check around and find a cheap piece of light panel from a drop ceiling. If you check building supply stores, you can probably find a broken one for pennies...use a Dremel to cut it into a cover for your LEDs and fix it in place somehow. It'll break up the light pattern and give you a nice even glow.

i think i got it pretty good on the driver'* side by taking the LED on the far left for example and aiming it to the right side of the footwell so the shape on the ground is not a circle... i don't really want to decrease light output, would the light panel block much light?

It'll decrease it a bit, might be worth a try if you find some for free.

Took me a few tries to get mine aimed evenly too. It'* do-able though.

Not much at all. It'* clear plastic, but molded so it scatters light.
Basically, think of your high-school classroom. It probably had the big rectangular ceiling panels, with plastic ones for the lights? The light panels are what I'm talking about.

Well the best parallel is the plastic covers over the lights in the doors, they're faceted on the back just like the diffusers for fluorescent lights.

That blue and red theme is just awesome. Unlike most of the neon cars out there, this looks to be very well thought out and very clean. Well done
