If that CD player works, you got yourself one hell of a deal.

why's that? ;)

J Wikoff 05-31-2006 03:46 PM

Because they are hard as hell to find and expensive when you do.

Gumball 05-31-2006 04:38 PM

it looks like she has been sitting for a while.

is that a hive in the side mirror?

SSE14U24ME 05-31-2006 04:56 PM

Not bad for free!! Even though she has a little cancer she can still be brought back to life in no time.

If by cancer you mean the rust...that wasn't on the floor. It was the metal clip that holds the harness going to the rear that rusted...

Thanks all :)

Trying to diagnose the no-crank problem right now.

ga93sle 05-31-2006 10:48 PM

That thing looks pretty good. Better shape than my car! Do you have the parts off of the old SSEi to fix it?

Yes but it looks liek this car is going to be an electrical nightmare. I'm thinking about just getting rid of it.

bonnie94ssei 06-01-2006 10:41 AM

Not bad at all!

willwren 06-01-2006 02:50 PM

Get that yellow harness tucked back up in the RF hushpanel area. That's the airbag circuit.

get rid of it to me! i would love to fix that up...the only problem wold be getting it here :? aww life bites without money

BLACK94SSEi 06-01-2006 07:09 PM

Nice score. I wish I got mine for free instead of paying $3200. As far as the electrical, stick with it and im sure it will pay off. If anything, you change a harness. Definately worth it!! How many miles are on it?

165,000

LakevilleSSEi 06-21-2006 12:13 AM

Man, the best things in life are free...

Same way I got my SSEi, but mine was WAY worse off....Like

Dead tranny, hardly running starting motor, the list goes on...you got it easy man ;)

Mike G 06-24-2006 11:18 PM

It sounds like a project- but at 165k and a freebie, you can't really go wrong.
Do you have a service manual?

Newt427 06-25-2006 08:25 AM

WOW  for free!!!!!!... You just one the lottery!! But if the motor is bad and the miles scare you, it would be nothing to find a good used engine or a rebuilt longblock for around $1,000 or less (check ebay). And while you at it you could find a tranny with less miles or a remanufactured unit too. Anyway you look at it, it's a win win!!!You could have one hell of a car with a tranny and motor swap. All the little missing pieces here and there that I saw in the pics you could pick up off ebay cheap!

Consider yourself very lucky...
