Default plugs and wires changed

last night i finally got around to doing the beldin premium wires.. the color matches my paint exactly... i also changed the plugs because i wasnt not sure if my dad had gapped them right... they were not... .040... so i gapped the autolite 104'* to .050....the color theme for this car will be chrome and dark blue.. i think it will look good... as soon as i get the JMB chrome FWI, and the aluminum ceramic coated PEM'* ill be in great shape.. here is where i stand right now....

Honestly there is no reason to have your plugs gapped that small. I'd move that gap up to at least .055". We run .052" in the GTP with no misfires and thats with an XP cam and 2.55" pulley.

Don't blame everyone -I locked this thread until a short time before you brought it back up -J/K.

I have to say the blue wires fit your car extremely well.
Will definitely look hot with mani'* and FWI.

I have to agree with Shawn - even .050" is quite extreme -I'm gapped at .056" and thinking I should've stayed at .057" until I run colder plugs and smaller pulley.

Looks good but.............

Where is the heat shield around your intake cone. :?:

You are pumping in 130 F engine bay air......and that is costing you potential KR and a sure 10 hp.

sorry guys i got this right from INTENSE

We offer these spark plugs in three different heat ranges depending on your level of modifications. Our recommendations are as follows:
Use the Autolite® 605 spark plugs (one heat range colder than stock) if you have a 3800 Series II or III engine engine with up to 6 pounds of boost. At this level, we recommend reducing the spark plug gap to .055", or .035" with nitrous oxide.
Use Autolite® 104 spark plugs (two heat ranges colder than stock) if you have a 3800 Series II or III engine with 6 to 12 pounds of boost. At this level, we recommend reducing the spark plug gap to .050", or .035" with nitrous oxide.
Use Autolite® 103 spark plugs (three heat ranges colder than stock) if you have a 3800 Series II or III engine with 12 to 18 pounds of boost. At this level, we recommend reducing the spark plug gap to .045", or .035" with nitrous oxide.
intake shield is something i have not been worried about until the last 2 days... have been within 20* of ambient until it got nice here.... not gonna build anything, just gonna get the FWI
