Bose stereo? Sweet. Looks like an awesome truck. I take it you're happy.
So, are you gonna have your screen name changed to GMC06 now?

nice truck, if i was going to buy a newer one it would be exactly like that. maybe not red but to each his own. does it have the G80 in the rpo sticker in the glove box? you dont want to run it in auto if you dont need it because you are wearing on the 4wd parts unnecessarily. i use my auto if there is 100 percent ice or snow coverage on the road, if not you really only need 2wd, especially if its got the g80.

That rear gear doesn't really matter since you say you wanna lift the thing and put bigger tires on it. Because of that you're gonna want 4.11'* no doubt. Oh, and what JW said, don't run it in Auto if you don't have to. Besides wearing the parts, you'll lose MPGs!
Oh yeah, that thing is bitching BTW. Forgot to say that. My GF really likes the color.
What are the first mods?
I'm sure they showed you, but you got a great deal on this thing!

i have 265/75'* and 3.42'*. there perfect for me tows my 6500 pound trailer fine. and the 265s are slightly larger than what i had on my old jeep, and i got into some serious mud and snow with that. its all about the tread and locker, i had a full mud bfg m/t. you dont want to go any bigger than 265'* unless you are prepared to go all in like mouse said 4.10'* computer change, etc. it all has to work together.

I know this for a fact already, that in order to lift it and put big tires sure 3.42 is ok for 33'* etc but if I wanted to put a biggerr lift and bigger tires the bigger the tire the more torque you want to spin those tires so in turn you need a bigger rear end not a smaller rear end. This is one thing that i know considering i used to sell lift kits and the such at a racing shop at the dunes. the smaller the rearend the less torque you want a bigger rearend if you want bigger tires.
I love the color too its victory red and yes incredible deal because the dealer said it was worth 18,000 in excellent shape and my credit union said 21,000 new so we are going with her number lol
