Black Magic'* Final Ride of the Year
My 91SSE "Black Magic" has been sitting in the driveway for around 8 weeks now (since I brought the 97SSEi back from T.O.). It was given a good cleaning and waxing a few days after I got the 97, but hasn't hit the road. So it'* just been sitting in the driveway looking really pretty.
Anyways, I thought I had a leak in the gas tank (could smell fuel) but nothing on the driveway. So I put the insurance back on it, slapped my new LP "91 SSE" on her and took her to get her gas tank replaced. I forgot what a nice ride she is.
Doesn't have the power of the 97 of course, but I like her cockpit a lot better, minus the HUD and the leather. I still love taking her down the strip and seeing the heads turn. I love the rumble she makes, esp when I hit the gas. Sitting in the 91SSE I realized for the first time that the 97 doesn't have anything to tell you when to rotate the tires, and change the oil, or when a tune-up is due. I was just so used to it with the 91, and I never took notice on the 97.... odd. I'm going to have to pay close attention to the 97, the 91 has spoiled me in that regard.
She'* back home now, turns out it was something on top of the gas tank that was cracked, not the tank it'* self. Something to do with the fuel gage. So the repair was 1/2 of what I was expected.... yaa!!
Well before I take the insurance off her for the rest of the year, and put her in storage tomorrow, I'm taking her out tonight for one final cruise around the twin cities.
Too bad the weather wasn't warmer, could put the windows down and the system up (12 speakers, 3 subs, and over 1000amps..... she sounds good)

Arrgg.... it never ends does it.....
So I'm out cruising around tonight. No worries, car is running good, stereo is pumping.... I take the highway into the city, cruise around for a bit, then decide to head out of the city to grab a bite to eat, except I can't rev the engine past 3000~3500 rpm.. it cuts out... sorta like when you hit a governer. In neutral she revs all the way to the red line just fine, but in gear, nothing past 3500.... arrg..
I'm going to have to post something in the 87-91 tech forum to see if anyone has any idea.
