Thanks for your help guys.

Fortunately (or unfortunately, however you want to look at it), I don't buy used parts. My father just informed me that the GM dealer down the street will be ordering a brand new bumper and a brand new rear quarter panel, all genuine parts. I don't like aftermarket and I don't like used parts on my car :-/. I'm sure some of you know how that feels. Body work will be required on the door to fix the handle and the cracks.

You guys are making me not want to drive my Bonnies. What is going on with all these accidents lately? I was chalking it up to all the snow but many weren't snow related.

That looked like such a sweet car, too. Glad you weren't hurt.

i'm extremely interested how they are going to fix the quarterpanel by "putting a new one on there" I'm mainly curious whats included with that since its not like a fender or something.

Most panels these days are put on with a body adhesive or glue. A body shop replaced the side of the cab on my truck. It'* amazing and they say it'* easier to do that welding parts on like the old days.

Alot of work.

they cut the old one off at the sail panel and drill out all the old spot welds, straiten and clean up the inner parts and re weld the new fender on. do some work to smoth out the joint at the sail panle and then sent it off to paint where it gets primed, seam sealed, painted around all the edges( to make it easier to paint the out side) then maked all up and painted on the outside.
