My brilliant red Bonnechetta from a better vanished time.
Hi all! Been a while. Well, I am back and have some whorage! Yes, I have whorage!
Here is my '93 SSEi. Picked it up over the weekend. Story behind it: I have been after this car for quite some time. Before my daughter was born, and she is seven! The owner and I could not reach an agreement so he decided to keep it, so I bought the green '93 I used to have. So a few years ago he called on me to make some repairs, including the installation of a high flow cat, new alternator install and I chased some of the bugs out. Then he parked the car and it sat in his yard. He was then ordered to clean up his yard by the Town. My friend is now 78 so he decided it was time to rid of some of the cars in his yard. This car was one of them, and my name sprang to mind. So, after trading some tools I no longer use, it is now officially mine.
Enough talk: Pics taken yesterday below. I have gone over the car with a rubbing compound, more polishing is needed to bring it back fully. Some touch up paint here and there and cosmetically we're good to go. Car also has some wicked muffler installed, a Magnaflow or something. Whole lot of rumble! Not enough whine, so a CAI is in the immediate plans, maybe a switch of rims but the funky Aerolites are kind of neat. Might plasti-dip them red.. Still talking, on with the pics...
So all fluids have been drained and changed, it'* officially on the road now, licensed and insured. My Envoy broke down last night with a leaky fuel pump so Red Bonnechetta has been called in! Smells like a car that has sat for a while, but drives excellent. Steering is nice and crisp, just hit 202,000km.
Hope you dig, great to be back and I must admit I have missed driving one of these!
Cheers,
Adam

Considering the car sat in the mans front yard, the car looks great, polished up nicely!
I bet you spent more than a few hours detailing..nice work!
Even under the hood /interior is clean. Good deal!
Trading unused tool for the */C bonny is fantastic! I am glad you finally have it now.
BTW I notice you are from the real wine country...I love the Niagara region.

Very possible. I was doing some work on it a few years ago for the gentleman that owned it. He wouldn't part with it back then. I completed the repairs, he took it home and there it sat under a car cover until now. New intake is coming up, will post when done!
