Yeah, I got incredibly lucky. My grandparents only took it to the grocery store and back, and maybe for a trip to the other small town 45 miles away for a good steak and lobster dinner once a year. My parents or I came and picked them up if they were going any further than that.

Like I said in my intro post, driving a big ol' GM wasn't really what I'd planned on...but now that I've had it for two years, I'm kind of attached :)

Let me know if you find some deer whistles that are successful and a subtle place to mount them. I do a lot of backroads driving, too, so if they work, I'm all for it. My dad used to have some really sleek silver ones on one of our old Subarus that seemed to do something (never got hit by anything in that car, at least), but they didn't have the weird tilt adjustment these ones have. Wonder if the angle makes a difference?

I've been debating window tint for a while. Any suggestions on brand or what color/type would go with the white paint job? I forget what Montana's laws are regarding the darkness of the tint, but there's some good places in town to get it installed in any case.

Usually whatever a professional tint shop has on hand is good quality film, but it never hurts to ask what brand they're using. I have 3M film on my windows, black, no color or reflective pattern to it. My tint is also 5%, meaning that only 5% of light gets through. Lower number = darker. 5% is what most people call "limo tint." Yeah, it's illegal, but I can see fine out of it (much darker looking in than out) and I haven't been pulled over yet for it...

Since the door pillars on the outside are black where they meet the window, the darker the tint, the better it would probably look. I've seen white Bonnevilles with dark tint on the window and it looks stunning, mostly because it ties all the windows together and then gives stark contrast to the white paint.

Looks like the state maximum tint (on just the back and rear-side windows, boo) is 14%, and on the front-side windows is 24%. On the other hand, you don't have to display stickers showing what tint you've got. There's a bunch of tuners around here with all-around tint I can guarantee you is darker than 24%... but they probably get pulled over more often than I do, even when I had my fight team's logo filling the rear window ;)

Seems you can also get medical exemptions for darker tint levels, which could work in my favor -- I have an old eye injury that gets worse when it's bright. Wonder if my eye doctor would write me a prescription for 5% all-around limo tint? ;) Can't hurt to ask.
