It begins...(update: engine'* stripped)
While I was planning on starting my transmission swap in early March, the recent death of my transmission has me starting the project a week early. So far I've only gotten around to draining all the fluids and disconnecting a few things. I'll update this thread as things progress.
Here'* some pics of what I found when I drained the transmission.
gotta show off the L67
that'* ATF not motor oil ; and it felt a little grainy. I changed out the fluid when I first got the car about 10,000 miles ago too.
and a shot of the beautiful Intense tranny that will be replacing the old 4t60

Basic specs are 3.69 gears(bye bye gas mileage), and I'm installing an ATI converter w/ 3000 stall. It also has every hard part offered by Intense, a shift kit, and an updated 2nd gen LSD. It may be overkill for my car even when I'm finished building it up, but it will take the power that will eventually get thrown at it and I got a great deal on it. :P

She'* getting a cam put in while I have everything out of the car, and a new PCM to control the new trans. Once everything is working right, I'll drop to a 3.2" and maybe a 3.0" depending on KR.

Yikes, that picture makes me feel uneasy. Especially after buying a 1996 SSEi with very similar mileage. I think I am going for a complete flush of the system this week.
