washed her in the driveway today so i figured i'd just soap up the engine a little... no detailing or degreasing, just soap and water...

Try not to spray water on your ignition coils and alternator much.

Otherwise, Nice! I love a clean engine.

Looks nice and clean but,ya definately should have covered the coils and the alt ;)

Yep. I'd remove the coils and let them air dry before you drive the car.

well, i don't have to work tomorrow so they should have plenty of time to dry off.

AND now that i know they are so sensitive i'll be sure to cover them up next time. but bealive me, they where DIRTY! i shoulda taken a before pic... my driveway was a mess after cleaning up under there! next time i attack with some plastic bags first, then water! 8)

gotta love the clean 3800's....

My Buick has same coil pack setup and I washed engine bay regularly and things got real "greem" inside ....especially on the module under the coil pack. Quess they didnt count on you "watering the area" :D
