My previous ride
It'* been a few years, but I used to drive one of these:

I knew someone would bring that up. The pics I posted are of a plastic model, but they are the first I've seen of the correct model of truck with the correct armament on it, same as I drove in Desert Storm.
And Hailey, I appreciate the thanks. Someone did that to me in the mall once and it floored me. I wish I could say I joined for all the romantic reasons, but I intitially jopined the TX National Guard so I could work on helicopters and guns. Then, after high school I got real hungry and tired of being homeless (long story) and joined the regular Army. At that point, I stayed because I liked it. IN 95 I decided I had enough ('nother long story) and got out.
By the way, I'd hate to have to drive one of them on city streets. They're loud inside, uncomfortable (the new ones are supposed to be better, but..) and they are friggin HUGE!! Way too wide to be just cruisin around in, and you can't see either end while driving because of the shape. If any of you live near a base, you may notice little rods sticking up from each end of the bumpers. That'* so you can see where the corners of the truck are while you're driving.
