Back in July before i even put a pulley on this car I feared of leaning out and blowing up the engine. To put these fears to rest i bought an Ultralite 2 full sweep electric fuel pressure gauge from Summit and to make a long story short it sat in a box in my garage for 3 months. I finally got a day away from the girlfriend and had an itch to get some stuff done so as of 1 in the morning i have it all wired up and the stainless fuel line hooked up to the sender. The gauge looks awesome IMO, i just need to get my A-pillar pod project painted and then i'll get better pictures up.





I know pressure is supposed to be 48-52 not running so i'm going to actually drive it tomorrow and see if my numbers increase, if not i'll try to bleed that line to make sure no air is in there.

Good job. Will the gauge fit in one of the vent holes? It seems cleaner and more stock looking than the pillar pod. FYI there'* a group buy going on for a pillar pod buy....

I'm already losing one to my aeroforce gauge so im not really trying to take out another one. I'm going to look at that thread but i made my own gy molding a universal pod to a spare A pillar with a heat gun. I just have to paint it with SEM texture coating and some color coat.

Ultra-Lite II'* now? I never kept up on their stuff once I left. I still have some Autometer gauges and equipment though.

So i temporarily got the pillar pod installed. I have had a hell of a time trying to get SEM texture coating. I bought a can from an online vendor and they sent me a can and it didn't have a nozzle, then they sent me the wrong nozzle blah blah blah. So it'* sanded and color coated and in until i get the texture coat then it comes back out and I am probably getting a shade darker in the color coat paint as well. Granite is a bit to light in direct sunlight.






And since i can't leave anything alone, i pulled the bezel off my gauge and polished it. It really looks good at night but i am still unsure if i like the way it looks in daylight.

What are your WOT numbers?
Where is the sender located and do you have to run fuel lines into the cabin?

Honestly i haven't hit WOT since putting this in, I know it'* above 60 as i got about 3/4 throttle in the passing lane and looked at it and it was a hair above 60. My numbers are a little low i think at about 46psi at idle. The sender is connected to a 3ft length of braided stainless hose which screws onto the test port on the fuel rail. You have to get a schrader valve core removal tool so the sender gets pressure. The braided line follows the path the factory fuel lines take and the sender is mounted to the fenderwell next to the cruise control module using a 1" conduit strap and some self drilling screws like the intense PCM tray comes with. The wiring for the sender goes through the firewall behind the brake pedal and comes out at the big grommet under the brake booster so no fuel lines in the cabin.

Drove 4 hours to St. Louis Saturday and another 4 hours back Sunday morning and i am still leak free so the thread sealing compound is doing it'* job. (Fire extinguisher is just in case, you never know when you might see a burning car on the side of the road. My dad put one out about 5 years ago with his)

Does Autometer still make electronic senders for these? I believe they did, but the gauge costs about 2x more.
