Guinevere - Re-Commissioned
here'* some pictures of the reconstruction to at least look half decent on the road, she has a long way yet but we'll get her back in shape eventually:
Time to take the damaged parts off:
Fender
Front Door
Rear Door
Had a problem with the front door panel on both doors i ended up braking the trim piece on top :?
things begin to pile up
Replacement rear door goes on
hey look, not only do they not match in color, they dont match hight either!!! (I'm really taking a liking to the gold stripes more than the black though)
front door goes on
my bumper cover goes back on, despite missing a mounting tab it was in a ton better condition than the one i plucked off the parts car
working on the door lock, it was weird, my car was equiped with something the parts car wasn't, only thing i can think it was was maybe anti-theft, i had an extra plug on my car that had nothing on the replacement door to go to, and i went back to my door and found that it was a plug that led directly to the key lock, at first i thought it was the green light but thats on the door handle...
my mess, dad didn't like it, it prevented him from fooling with his Cougar
I want my door trim back
having alignment issues, the front door NEEDs to go back but we havn't been able to persuade it yet, the door catches the fender when its cold in the mornings other wise it clears :?
door dings 'n paint chips :(
washed her today, she cleaned up a little bit
close up
I'm picking up another headlight tomorrow (Thanks Again Pat), inspection is due this month...i dont think this one will pass
Hood exchange is yet to come, probably after i get the doors and fender lined up correctly...i dont really want to fool with the hood along with the door and fender, and besides the hood isn't in tooo bad of shape

Awesome progress, so far.
She'll rise again!
Just a thought: If your door is catching on the fender, and no adjustment is left for the door, try moving the front fender up a bit. Usually the combination of two movements will get it where you want.
Good luck, and please keep the pics coming!
Cheers,
Adam

Yeah, i moved the forward yesterday
Huge Gap between the door and fender now though...im gonna take it to a body shop and have them finish it off...because i have played with this and i'm getting a little fed up. I can live with gaps for a week or two.
