05 Vette
I traded my 2011 Chevy Cruze in and bought a 2005 Chevy Corvette with the LS2 and 4 speed automatic. Mileage is on the higher side for a Vette, but I got a good deal and a 2 year warranty that covers almost everything. I drove 4 1/2 hours (one way) to just east of Cleveland to get it. (I live near Indy.) I even saw one local that was 1 year newer and 13k miles less and they wanted 10k more than what I paid. Overall, I'm enjoying the car. I got 28 mpg on the way back from Cleveland area and was doing 72 mph the whole way.
Well, here it is.

Sure is a nice one!
Good score on a deal like that.

i wish i could get that kind of mileage from my firebird. i would be able to drive it more. they normally make those so its about 1200 rpm at 65 give or take a few hundred, with all that torque and lack of weight im sure its happy lugging around at low rpm

Doing 55 mph, the engine is turning over 1400 rpm. At 72 mph, it was turning over at around 1900 rpm.
My mileage went down yesterday. I put on new brake pads all around and put new spark plugs and spark plug wires on. Now, instead of getting 32 mpg at 55 mph (base on instance mpg), I'm only getting 25 mpg. Brakes might just need to be broken in.

my firebird is about 3500rpm at 55.th400 and 4.10'*. and as such gets probably 10mpg. i wish i could get a tremec or something but costs too much, more than i can spend on a toy right now.

My Firebird ran 55 mph around 1900 rpm with a built up 700r4 with 3.27 gears 255/60R15 tires on the back. I avg. around 19 mpg, but the engine ran bad and was never tuned. That was my money pit and I turned my back on it a few years ago.

I got my Firebird in high school too. I've owned my for about 12 years now. Once in awhile, people will stop at my house and ask if I'll sell it. The answer is always no.
