:

Good idea. I was thinking about doing that with all the snow and ice we get during the winter. The rims even came with the abs center caps.

C'mon, flyboy. Pop 'em on, get some pics, take 'em off. I wanna see!!!

GAMEOVER 11-19-2003 01:36 AM

I need to get some tires first. One of the rims has a slight nick on the edge. The guy that sold them said the tire holds air. I just don't know if that nick is repairable or not. The other 3 rims are in great shape.

MOS95B 11-19-2003 05:44 AM

Unless the nick is in the seal area, it should be fine. (Mounting tires at a Service station was one of my many, many crappy jobs...) Someone posted a nice repair article here once, too.

aviator327 11-19-2003 06:18 AM

Here are some pics. The inside flange where the tire seals appears to be okay.

Ouch!! Hope he gave you a good price. Hard to tell if that will seal or not from those pics. There's gotta be a way to repair it, though, if it is just cosmetic.
